History

Ingeniörsfirma Trans-Auto AB was founded in 1968 in Bandhagen South of Stockholm by Mr Olov Trobeck.

Among the first Agencys, MICO brake Control systems and Clark transmissions can be mentioned. 4 years later the first transmissions was sold to Ljungby truck, today known as Kalmar, and Kockum, now VCE and partly John Deere.

In 1975 the Company moved from Bandhagen to Sodertalje.

In the 1990´s the number of brand Agencys and customers increased. In 1992 Trans-auto OY in Tammerfors, and in 1998 Trans-auto Marine  was started up to serve the Finnish and Baltic customers.

The expansion continued during the 2000s and in 2008 a sales office, warehouse and workshop were opened in S:t Petersburg, Russia.

In 2014 the Company was acquired and incorporated in Axel Johnson International Group.
