HISTORY

The Trobeck family in 1978
Engineering company Trans-Auto AB was founded in 1968 in Bandhagen south of Stockholm by Olov Trobeck.
Among the first agencies were found MICO brake systems as well as Clark transmissions and axles. 4 years later, the first Clark transmissions are sold to Ljungby Truck (today Cargotec), Kockum Landverk (today part of VCE) and Kockum Söderhamn (today part of John Deere).
In 1975 the business moved from southern Stockholm to Södertälje.
After entering into agreements with several different brands, Trans-Auto opened two sales offices in Finland during the 90s. This is to better meet the needs of our Finnish and Baltic customers. Trans-Auto OY has existed since 1992 and is based in Tampere. In 1998, Trans-Auto Marine OY opened in Helsinki, whereby our marine customers could also receive fast and accurate service.
The expansion continued in the 2000s and in 2008 our area of responsibility was extended to also apply to Russia when the subsidiary company TA Vostok was established.
In March 2022, Trans-Auto AB chose to end its involvement in Russia.
